“Education is the most powerful tool
which you can use to change the world.”

About Me:

Thank you for visiting my site! My name is Michelle Esposito (formerly Consorte). I am a VDOE-licensed, secondary school English teacher. As of now, I am teaching Pre-AP English 9 and Core English 9 classes, but I have taught Pre-AP English 10, Advanced 12, and AP Language and Composition during my six years of teaching in Virginia. I received my Master’s in the Art of Teaching degree at Hollins University in May 2017. In 2012 I received my undergraduate degree in English with minors in communications and international relations summa cum laude from Adelphi University.

What I love most about teaching is witnessing the exchange of knowledge between brilliant people each and every day. I love to be a facilitator and guide for these exchanges. I believe that everyone is brilliant in his or her own way — the trick is to discover which way and to then effectively harness that power. This is my ultimate teaching goal: to enable students to utilize their unique talents for their own benefit and for the benefit of others.

For more information about my teaching goals, please view my Educational Philosophy here.

In my spare time, I am an avid reader and writer of poetry and short stories. I enjoy cook and baking, and spending time outdoors gardening and hiking with my husband and my two dogs. I am also passionate about bettering my community so, on most weekends, you can find me volunteering at a highway cleanup, food bank, or chaperoning the high school dance.
